AT&T heads into TV fray with passage of video bill.(News)

Byline: Amy Lane A major video customer battle is about to begin. On the heels of legislative victory last week, AT&T Inc. Michigan President Gail Torreano said AT&T next year will start offering its new video service in Michigan, a product that will compete with services like cable TV and include high-definition capability and a large video-on-demand library.

"We have a product that we think is very competitive and exciting,'' Torreano said. "It will be a process, community by community, which we will begin to launch.'' She would not say where AT&T would initially deploy the service or when specifically it would be available.
