Delphi loss grows in January Delphi Corp.'s losses widened in the first month of 2007 as Big Three production cuts continued to plague the bankrupt auto parts supplier. Delphi posted a net loss of $186 million in January, compared with a net loss of $121 million in the year-earlier period.
Sales for the month dropped to $1.28 billion from $1.47 billion in January 2006. The figures are contained in Delphi's court-required monthly operating report. All figures are unaudited. Delphi put its U.S. operations in Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in October 2005. Sales to General Motors Corp., Delphi's largest customer, fell in January to $707 million from $835 million in the year-earlier period. International operations were one of the few bright spots.
