Byline: Sherri Begin When an 80-something, modestly dressed man shuffled into the Wayne State University Law School a couple of years back, a staff fundraiser initially thought he was lost and offered to help him find his way. It turned out that Carl Ziemba knew his way around the law school quite well.
After graduating from the school, he'd used its library for research countless times throughout his prominent career as an appellate attorney. Ziemba told the staff member that he wanted to donate his law books to the law school's library. After a few minutes of discussing his books, he mentioned that he'd also been thinking about making an additional gift - his estate.
