Byline: Chad Halcom Plans to prevent the shuttering of a Delphi Automotive facility in Shelby Township could involve piecing together several businesses and other agencies like the components of a new machine. Troy-based Automation Alley and the Original Equipment Suppliers Association are coordinating efforts for a new use of Delphi's lab facility.
Delphi, which is trying to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy, is vacating the site at 51786 Shelby Parkway near 23 Mile Road as part of a wider effort to consolidate several operations at its facilities in Auburn Hills.
