Top risk management stories of 1996 may elicit feelings of 'deja vu' Risk managers can be forgiven if they feel a certain sense of deja vu when recalling the top events of 1996. In fact, the two top stories of the year feature the same players as last year's No. 1 and No. 2 stories: Lloyd's of London and CIGNA Corp.
This year's top two come as additional chapters to the sagas that topped the list last year. Other stories among the top 10 also sound familiar themes of yesteryear - notably merger and acquisition activity continuing to consolidate the property/casualty insurance industry.
