Excess capacity will prevent product liability rates from rising: Risk manager SYDNEY, Australia - Australian companies are facing a rash of class-action lawsuits over claims of illness from contaminated food products, though it is not expected to harden product liability rates. Class actions in general are becoming more frequent in Australia since the Trade Practices Act was amended five years ago.
