OSHA announces inspection plan.(Occupational Safety and Health Administration)(Brief Article)

WASHINGTON-Worksites with high lost-workday injury and illness rates will be the target of a new inspection plan announced by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration last week. The new "Site Specific Targeting Plan" initially will focus on approximately 2,200 of the roughly 12,500 worksites with lost-workday injury and illness rates above 16 per 100 full-time employees.

This rate is nearly five times private industry's national average rate of 3.3 lost workdays per 100 full-time employees.
