Better, faster, lower cost: online benefits enrollment.(Brief Article)

NEW YORK -- Soon, using paper forms to enroll employees into health plans may seem as quaint as driving to work in a horse and buggy. The Internet can make the delivery of benefits "better, faster and cheaper," said Jim McAloon, a consultant with Hewitt Associates in Bridgewater, N.J. By creating links to health-information Web sites, employers will enable employees to make better-informed health plan decisions.

It's faster because an individual can sit down in front of a computer and complete the enrollment process in less than 15 minutes.
