Safety awareness cutting comp claims.(Government Activity)(Brief Article)

ORLANDO, Fla.-While workers compensation premiums and claims costs are expected to rise in 2001, the overall frequency of claims continues to decline. This trend, which has been developing in the United States for at least five years, appears to be primarily the result of increased safety awareness, according to an ongoing study by the National Council on Compensation Insurance Inc., based in Boca Raton, Fla.
