ATLANTA-Risk managers who have to battle senior management who are wedded to old but not necessarily better ways of doing business can promote change more easily by using the change-acceleration process, according to a panel of experts. Risk management at The Walt Disney Co. executed the process flawlessly in persuading top management to drop their objections to using owner-controlled insurance programs for recent major construction projects, insurance executive Irene K.
