Government cracks down on delinquent reporting The federal government is beginning a push to put more pressure on employers to file required benefit plan financial reporting forms. The Labor Department's Pension & Welfare Benefits Administration and the Internal Revenue Service are researching their databases to identify employers that have not filed Form 5500 reports.
