Byline: Douglas McLeod NEW YORK-A federal judge has set February 2004 for the initial phase of a trial of the World Trade Center property insurance dispute pitting Silverstein Properties Inc. against Swiss Reinsurance Co. and numerous other insurers. At a hearing last Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Michael B.
Mukasey also won an agreement by the parties to meet Nov. 6 to discuss a possible mediation of the dispute before retired federal judge John S. Martin Jr. Judge Martin presided over the case before his retirement. Judge Mukasey ordered that the trial initially determine which policy form was agreed to by each of the insurers participating on the $3.55 billion WTC property program.
