Rodman Fox, the chief executive officer of Benfield Group Ltd.'s U.S. division in New York, has taken a leave of absence for personal reasons, the reinsurance brokerage said. During Mr. Fox's absence, his responsibilities will be carried out by Grahame Chilton, Benfield Group's CEO in London, who will be supported by Paul Karon, president and chief operating officer of Benfield's U.S.

arm. In a statement, Benfield said the reasons for Mr. Fox's leave were "unconnected to the performance'' of the company. A spokesman declined to provide further details.
