World Updates; U.K. brokers say probe hasn't tarnished image.(International)

Most U.K. insurance brokers believe that the public perception of the insurance industry in the United Kingdom has not changed despite the publicity surrounding the investigation into U.S. brokerage practices, according to a survey. Of the 220 respondents to the survey conducted by London-based accounting firm Mazars, 77% said they thought public perception of the industry was unchanged in 2005, while 19% said it had worsened and 4% said it had improved.
