The London-based brokerage appointed a new group chief executive officer in December 2005, replaced the management of its Risk Solutions unit after the previous head resigned, set up a new reinsurance arm and launched an ongoing operational review, among other things.
In addition, the brokerage says it is operating in an increasingly competitive market in the wake of changes wrought by the investigations into brokerage industry practices by prosecutors in various U.S. states.
