Byline: ROBERTO CENICEROS NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.-The recent boom in private equity investments in the insurance brokerage business took another twist last week when the Blackstone Group bought out another private equity firm's interest in Alliant Insurance Services Inc. for a reported $1.1 billion.
