Local rivals hope to profit from fallout Marshall V. Rozzi is performing radical surgery on the area's leading operator of health maintenance organizations. Mr. Rozzi, who was hired last fall to head United HealthCare of Illinois Inc. (UHI), is suturing three HMOs into one, jettisoning managers and flattening the organizational structure.
Meanwhile, the company has lost at least one large health maintenance organization (HMO) account. Local rivals, suspecting vulnerability, are angling to carve off parts of the company's business while raiding its staff.
