Being a senior White House aide over the last year may be one of them. Soon to find out: Rahm Emanuel, the Chicago native who was at President Clinton's side long before Monica Lewinsky.
Mr. Emanuel will join Wasserstein Perella & Co., the M&A powerhouse, as a managing director here around Jan. 1, according to LaSalle Street sources. ``He wants to learn the business, not just be a casino greeter,'' says an insider.
