The Sears Tower won't get the on-site co-generation power facility its owners wanted, but electricity co-generation remains a hot topic for many other Illinois building owners. For certain kinds of businesses, such as hospitals, food processors and other industrial companies, creating their own power through co-generation still may be one of the most attractive sources of economical electricity in the near future, experts say.
