Gov. Ryan wraps up Cuba trip As part of a five-day goodwill mission to Cuba, an Illinois delegation led by Gov. George Ryan met with Cuban dissidents; delivered medical aid, school supplies and food to the island's residents, and held two extensive meetings with President Fidel Castro, during which Mr.

Ryan said that his delegation supports lifting the U.S. trade embargo against Cuba. Though the governor was not without criticism of the Cuban leader, at the end of the trip, President Castro agreed to allow Gov. Ryan to bring a sick 7-year-old boy back to the U.S. for treatment. ...
