State to conduct small business gathering.

The state's Department of Commerce and Community Affairs will conduct a small business forum in Springfield next month. Small business owners attending the Governor's Small Business 2000 Summit on Jan. 25 and 26 will have the opportunity to talk about issues affecting the state's economic development strategy and present their concerns and recommendations to legislators.
Topics to be discussed include capital formation, workforce development, communications and technology, procurement, international trade, taxation, health care, environmental policy and economic and community development.
