(2 stars) I am not a fan of slow-loading sites or gratuitous imagery and technology. However, if any site should display its wares visually, it's this one. The arboretum's goal is to display plants and shrubs from around the world to encourage people to study and enjoy them. I'm sure the physical location follows through on the goal, but the Web site falls short.
At first, it appeared that my quest for visuals would be satisfied. The home page displays a vibrant grid of flowers and plants, but that's where it ends. The home page feels like summer, and the interior pages feel like winter. This site is fast, efficient and deeply informative, and pages load quickly, but the navigation could use a hand.
