Donni Case has been in the investor relations business long enough to remember calling on star money manager Peter Lynch back when his hair was still black. Mr. Lynch stopped managing the Fidelity Magellan Fund a long time ago-and his hair has been white for years-but the 53-year-old Ms. Case shows few signs of slowing down.

She will begin her 30th year as an investor relations practitioner in January, having becoming head of the Chicago-based Financial Relations Board (FRB) in July.
