Poll: Few firms restricting biz travel ; But apprehension and pessimism are widespread.(Brief Article)(Column)

Last month's terrorist attacks have left local business people anxious about flying, but that hasn't stopped their firms from forging ahead with business travel plans, according to a poll conducted the week of Sept. 17 by ChicagoBusiness.com, the Crain's Chicago Business Web site. The poll, which garnered 246 responses, asked questions regarding travel, the economy and military action related to the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, D.C.

Among the findings: Half of respondents say they are apprehensive about flying in the wake of the hijackings, but an overwhelming 83% say their companies have not imposed any travel bans or restrictions.
