Joyce Tucker will have an inherent advantage when she advises Boeing Co. on how to comply with anti-discrimination regulations: As a former commissioner of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, she helped write or enforce many of them. Like any large defense contractor and as one of the world's largest companies, Boeing is under constant pressure not only to comply with anti-discrimination laws but to demonstrate a proactive stance toward hiring and promoting a diverse workforce.
