It looks like the judge overseeing Andersen's trial on one count of obstruction of justice will be canceling her long-planned vacation this week.. At the trial's outset three weeks ago, U.S. District Court Judge Melinda Harmon said she had plans to take a holiday, scheduled to begin Wednesday.

But the spirited legal proceeding is taking longer than expected, as Andersen defense counsel Russell ``Rusty'' Hardin Jr. chips away at the testimony of prosecution witnesses-and prosecutors throw more witnesses on the stand to counter his attacks. The tit-for-tat rhythm of the trial is an indication of just how tight the contest is.
