Tuecke and others are doing at Argonne National Laboratory is akin to the mid-1990s creation of the browser software that made the Internet accessible to the masses.
Mosaic, the forerunner of today's Internet Explorer, was developed by a couple of young computer scientists at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
