The Crystal Lake-based company designed a squeeze bottle with the dispenser on the bottom for ketchup maker H. J. Heinz Co., and Kraft Foods Inc. has adopted the design for its mayonnaise bottles.

The maker of a wide variety of dispensing systems, AptarGroup is counting on the food and beverage category to continue offsetting slumping demand from perfume suppliers hurt by slack sales at duty-free shops, a result of the current travel downturn.
