Byline: Gloria Scoby Getting a tough, but fun, biz up and running This issue of Crain's Chicago Business has very special meaning to me since it not only marks Crain's 25th anniversary but my 25th anniversary with Crain Communications as well. And it has been an amazing 25 years. While most of you reading this issue probably cannot imagine doing business in Chicago without Crain's, I can still clearly remember getting this paper off the ground.

That's when most local business people were scratching their heads, wondering what in the world Rance Crain was up to. It turns out he had a great idea.
