Byline: STEVEN R. STRAHLER A merger that would create the world's third-biggest law firm is under discussion at Piper Rudnick LLP and an 1,800-attorney firm headquartered in London. Each side acknowledges interest in a deal that would create a giant, global law firm, but neither firm says it's settled on a specific potential partner.
