Byline: Brandon Copple Why him? In August, Adrian Holovaty was hired to rethink and rebuild the Web site at one of the country's most prominent newspapers. Not bad for his fourth year out of college. The Post lured Mr. Holovaty away from his job as lead Web developer at LJWorld.com, the Web site of the Lawrence Journal-World in Kansas, which has won national acclaim for bringing Google-like depth of content to its coverage of the local entertainment scene and University of Kansas sports.
Mr. Holovaty, a Naperville native and journalist by training, worked for the Lawrence paper from his condo in Lakeview, honing his Internet programming skills while loading reams of data onto Web servers, then finding ways to make it useful to readers. The best evidence...
