Ill-advised expansion? Resurrection plans $90-mil. rehab as losses mount.(Resurrection Health Care)

Byline: MIKE COLIAS Resurrection Health Care is planning a roughly $90-million makeover of its flagship hospital on the Northwest Side, despite deteriorating financials and questions about management of the city's largest health system. The eight-hospital chain has seen profit margins plunge after acquiring several struggling Catholic hospitals since 2001: Operating losses more than doubled to $78 million in the fiscal year ended June 30 on revenue of $1.3 billion.
