Microsoft will take a 4% stake in Chicago-based CareerBuilder.com, CEO Matt Ferguson said, in a partnership he hopes will drive its overseas traffic. The online help-wanted site is co-owned by Tribune and two other newspaper companies. The Dutch Supreme Court will rule in three to four months on ABN Amro's appeal against a lower court decision to freeze the Dutch bank's sale of U.S.
subsidiary LaSalle Bank to Bank of America. The sale, part of an $88-billion deal for Britain's Barclays bank to buy ABN, is opposed by a consortium led by Royal Bank of Scotland, which wants to buy both LaSalle and ABN.
