Distance learning programs catch on with New York executives as busy schedules make it harder for them to travel to campus Barry Dennison says it was his longtime interest in information technology that led him to spot the advertisement for New York University around two years ago. It wasn't just that the copy touted a graduate certificate in information technology.
What really drew Mr. Dennison's attention was that he could take the four-course program without ever setting foot on NYU's campus - a big plus given his busy life as vice president and deputy treasurer at Grey Advertising Inc. in Manhattan.
