The General Motors Building might be going condo -- commercial condo, that is. Donald Trump, the new owner of the trophy property at 767 Fifth Ave., says he is seriously considering selling as much as a quarter of its office space as commercial condominiums. The price will be high -- an unspecified premium to the record $500 a square foot Mr.
Trump paid for the property only a month ago. A number of the building's tenants have expressed interest in buying their offices, he says. Other potential purchasers include outside real estate investors, or businesses that want to become tenants by buying space and moving into it after the current occupants' leases expire.
