MARTHA STEWART ENTERTAINS CHELSEA MOVE: MAY BRING MAGAZINE, TV, MARKETING UNITS TO LANDMARKED STARRETT-LEHIGH BUILDING.

Martha Stewart is considering a move way west, to Chelsea's Starrett-Lehigh Building. The doyenne of good taste is negotiating for room at 601 W. 26th St. to consolidate her magazine office, which is at 20 W. 43rd St., and her television studio and marketing operations, which are at 36 W.
25th St. A deal with Ms. Stewart would constitute a highly prestigious vote of approval for the investors who bought the building last August. They've invested $20 million to transform the landmarked 2.3 million-square-foot property from a neglected industrial building to a sleek center for Internet firms, photo and film studios, and art galleries. A spokeswoman for Ms. Stewart declined to comment on her plans. So did a Starrett-Lehigh partner. SHORT BITS *...
