There is in new york these days much talk of the revival of the city over the past few years. Since our public schools remain a scandal, race relations are lousy and I leave it to you to nominate other, similarly appalling ills, we are not talking Utopia, not quite yet. Certainly, I will concede, the mood around here ranges from hopeful to confident, even cocky, and there seems to be plenty of money around.
