Big-budget feature films may get all the hype and publicity, but a new media company based in New York is betting on a new market for short films to be watched by people on their computers while taking a break from work. Reelshort.com Inc. is providing an on-line showcase for filmmakers producing pieces in all genres, from demo reels and trailers to music videos.

``We enable filmmakers to get to the next level in their careers,'' says Jeremy Bernard, chief executive of Reelshort.com and a former feature film and television producer.
