A unit of britain's largest phone company is aiming to save big bucks by sending part of its Manhattan personnel to The Factory, Irwin Cohen's industrial and office building in Long Island City, Queens. British Telecommunications Plc's global e-business consulting and integration arm, Syntegra, signed a 10-year lease for 19,000 square feet at the property at 30-00 47th Ave.

It plans to relocate its operations and warehouse facility from 111 Eighth Ave. The consulting firm is moving its sales force, which is also at 111 Eighth Ave., to 675 Third Ave. Syntegra's new office at the midtown skyscraper on the northeast corner of West 42nd Street is an 8,000-square-foot floor, also rented for 10 years.
