Shannon Warner had been working at Brandwise.com for only three months when she got the bad news. Cut off from fresh funds, the Manhattan-based comparison-shopping Web site announced in May that it was axing the bulk of its 60 employees. Deeply shocked, Ms. Warner had no idea where to turn.

As it turns out, she didn't need to turn anywhere. Employers found her. Today-10 interviews and three solid job offers later-she's working as a director of product management at Clickthebutton.com. It took her just one month to find a job. ``If you have experience in the Internet space, people just start calling you,'' she says. As the financial woes and the layoffs continue to mount among dot-com firms, most employees are finding that there is still plenty of demand...
