In 1968, when captain kangaroo was interrupted early one morning for a news bulletin about the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy, Jonathan Wald didn't hesitate. He ran and broke the news to his mom. It was the birth of his lifelong passion for television news. He was 3 at the time, old enough to draw inspiration from his father, Richard C.
