GM applies brakes General Motors ads will no longer be running in Conde Nast magazines beginning with May issues, according to today's Advertising Age. The decision appears to be the result of a stalemate over rates.GM ran about 500 pages of advertising in Conde Nast publications last year.
Other publishers say they have not seen any significant GM advertising cutbacks yet. Conde Nast and GM declined to comment. Postal freeze Facing a $2 billion deficit, the U.S. Postal Service last week put a freeze on all new construction and major repair projects scheduled for this year, including those at 64 locations in New York and 21 in New Jersey.
