The first new prospective tenants are appearing in the midtown office market after the slowest winter since the stock market crash of 1987. After a brief surge following the attack on the World Trade Center, the midtown leasing market stalled out-and stagnated for months. In recent weeks, though, big tenants such as Microsoft and Vivendi Universal have started space searches.
