Byline: lisa fickenscher Fed up with their insurance companies, a growing number of New York businesses that suffered economic losses as a result of Sept. 11 are turning to the courts. While most of the attention so far has been focused on the headline-grabbing $7 billion lawsuit between World Trade Center landlord Larry Silverstein and his insurers, another small but important group of policyholders are suing their insurers for millions.
As many as 15 lawsuits have been filed, mostly in federal court in New York, by such prominent companies as Citigroup Inc., Lumbermens Mutual Casualty Co. and ABM Industries Inc.
