Mayor Bloomberg is turning a cold shoulder on the three Republican members of the City Council who voted against his 18.5% increase in property taxes. His partner in crime, City Council Speaker Gifford Miller, stripped the three Democrats who voted against the tax increase of some of their committee assignments.

Why the harsh reactions? Because the political fallout against the increase is building. Both the mayor and the speaker are in serious trouble with the voters.
