Byline: anita jain As Martha Stewart's squeaky-clean image continues to tarnish, less established rivals are profiting from the domestic diva's travails. Magazines competing with Martha Stewart Living, and a new daytime television show, are eating Ms. Stewart's perfectly prepared lunch. While advertising in her magazine plummeted 29% for the first half of the year, according to Media Industry Newsletter, newer lifestyle entrant Real Simple saw ad pages jump 69% during the same period.
Even mature titles like Better Homes and Gardens and Family Circle saw ad pages increase 9% and 15%, respectively, during the period. O: The Oprah Magazine's ad pages were flat. "Other magazines have gotten hot. Martha had a little difficulty, and pages started moving...
