Would take 8 floors in new Lexington tower; malpractice underwriter expands operations Though citigroup executives are watching the bottom line by relocating some Manhattan staff to New Jersey and Queens, real estate sources say that the bank is about to rent a large block of space in one of the city's most expensive and exclusive new office towers.
Industry experts say that Citigroup is negotiating to lease 176,000 square feet in the new Bloomberg headquarters at 731 Lexington Ave., at East 59th Street. The banking behemoth will take over floors 21 through 28. Mayor Michael Bloomberg's financial media empire will occupy the remaining 695,000 square feet of office space.
