OK, so they didn't go to the Broadway shows, or spend money if a goodie bag was available, and the restaurants were empty. But the anarchists weren't that disruptive, Ray Kelly and his troops did a splendid job, and the convention itself (save for the keynote ravings of poor Zell) was organized, often entertaining and quite effective.

And they did renominate Mr. Bush, few were stunned to learn. Although I think the comparison of our "wartime president,'' his favored term, with Winston Churchill may have been a bit overbaked.
