Last June, unfortunately, someone at the Brooklyn-based company accidentally imported a virus that quickly spread to all of the firm's PCs. The virus entered via a security gap in Microsoft's Internet Explorer and then quickly thwarted GTK's virus protection programs.
Within hours, the company's network was completely shut down, and it was not fully operational for nearly a week. "We were frustrated beyond belief by Internet Explorer,'' comments Rachel Weingarten, GTK's president.
