Radio biz loads up podcasters; Mainstream talk and news go mobile to catch up to fleeing listeners.(News)

Byline: matthew flamm the podcasting craze is moving out of the fringes and into the mainstream, now that Rush Limbaugh fans can download his daily radio talk show onto their MP3 players. The service, launched last Friday by Clear Channel Communications, costs $6.95 a month and delivers the three-hour show without commercials.
It's one of several steps that the radio industry has been taking recently to stem the flow of listeners to iPods, the Internet and satellite radio. Today, Clear Channel's Z100 station begins offering podcasts of its morning "Phone Tap'' segment. And last week, Infinity Broadcasting announced that its nine all-news stations, including New York stalwarts 1010 WINS and WCBS-AM, will begin offering free daily podcasts through their Web...
